Are your tracks Thule? I just ordered a Leer 100XL with only the Thule tracks installed. Wondering if other racks will fit the Thule tracks?

No I kept the cleats and those hooks off my 2011 and the dealer gave me 4 new cleats when I bought the 2017. I paid $40 for the rail only.

Agree!!! Bed careful with a heat gun if you've never used one. They can get really hot and burn or melt plastic and paint.

Be careful of what OBDII adapter you purchase. I have a decent OBDII LX and it throws ABS errors if I have it plugged in while turning the truck on.

What bed rack is that? I have been looking at the RCI one, but really like the look of yours.

That is the Warrior Products economy rack for 2005+ long or short bed Tacomas. I needed one that sat below the roof line because I do a lot of highway driving and I put my canoe up there so a rack that held the RTT above the roof line wouldn't work for me. Overall I'm really happy with it. It is built well. Two side panels and the top rack. Easy to install/uninstall. The side panels bolt into the bed rail and the top simply bolts to the side panels. There are two disadvantages to share. You will lose the ability to see anything out of your rear window. I have backup camera and blind spot monitoring that helps me deal with that. The other is that if you are someone who uses a lot of bed rail accessories you will lose some of the real estate back there as the side panels do cover a good portion of the rail channel. Cheers.

Okay boys and girls... Got some news on SDHQ's sliders:

    Pricing:
    • $950 Raw
    • $899 for forum members
    • Powder coating is an extra $220 dollars
    • Shipping is estimated around $230 dollars on a pallet
They have 10 sets built and ready to go. Sounds like half will be powder coated so if anyone wants the raw option, they'll have you covered.

Also sounds like only DCSB at this time.

They are live on the site as we speak. Also to note, they changed the logo plate to the more modern logo with the American flag I believe.

    http://store.sdhqoffroad.com/2016tacomasliders.aspx

While they are more expensive than other sliders, they also use better materials (inch and a half, 120 wall chrome-moly tubing that is all hand TIG welded. making then both lighter and stronger. They are fully supported end to end (front mount integrates with the body mount), again, adding more strength than other options on the market. They are also fully bolt on and have their house engineered and made mounting hardware designed specifically for our trucks.

Contemplating the same thing... not sure if my BAMF sliders will play nicely with the rear skid or not.
    I'll reroute the exhaust regardless.
