Took me a while to get the driver side to ride the right height. Not perfect but much better than my stock seats. I no longer have to brace myself when turning sharp as the seats are much more supportive. Got all four corners on the driver seat bolted down. Still need to drill a new hole for the passenger seat and need to pull the brackets off the driver and paint them now that I'm happy with the results.

    20170218_140152_zpsccs6hlna_105707c9c95000b205863037398fb2e0d66ccfd1.jpg

Btw, for those that are wondering why I haven't tuned it yet; funny story... My wife called and said she scraped her van down the side of my in-laws house; along the corner (brick). She said it only scraped the paint and said she's going to buy a touch up kit to fix it.

I thought, w/e, a little paint scratch isn't too bad...

    Here's her "scratched paint"

$500 deductible to fix ($1500ish total). I knew I should have given her the $250 deductible...

One of the greatest forms of flattery is someone copying you or your stuff. I for one would love to have a sc or turbo put on my truck. Great looking truck with some outstanding work.

ive read thru the thread and have followed some of your methods for turboing my truck

my question though do you have an oil pressure gauge installed and what are the readings you've been getting?

what grade oil are you using?

lots of good info in here too, (I saw where you posted the same question on Joshua's build) there are several turboers with a plethora of knowledge but this may be a bit broader net for you to cast. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/turbo-bs-thread.481844/
can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not running a pressure gauge, but If I was I would just use my sandwich plate that I have my turbo oil supply from, and I use 0w-40

No oil pressure gauge but a manifold were you tap your oil feed will let you run a reference for your gauge.

I'm running penzoil euro spec 5w 40 and tundra v8 oil filters

Great! Got some bushings for UCA and probably going to get LCA bushings and change those out too. Been working two jobs so hard to find time to get out but hopefully will wheel this sometime this summer.

One big thing I need is to wire up a switch to manually control the cooling fan.

How much boost are you running at? Have you got it on a dyno yet?

No idea tbh, around 8 I think but I've never put it balls to the wall yet. No, no dyno yet. Been dealing with a ground for the better part of a year and just got it figured (in the "taped" alarm system the previous owner installed) about two months ago.

You should have put a 4 psi wastegate spring in and done the free FMU years ago so you could have some safe boost. I’m still not tuned at all with the exception of meth injection at 9 psi and my truck still runs great.

I think it's a .4 BAR spring which should put it about 5-6 PSI but I have a manual boost controller and im not yet sure how that affects it. It's all the way open so it should be 5-6 psi but I've never tried WOT yet.

My turbo is leaking oil and the shaft has some play so I'm due for a new turbo soon. Going to get a Boostlabs turbo and will tune that one.

I have an 8psi spring but putting the wastegate reference vac line on the throttle body gives me 1 more pound. Fun stuff

I don't know man, New Jersey and Florida may be part of the East Coast family but we don't like admitting it.

I want it to stay black. Should I paint it (need to sand the chrome) or plastidip?
