Lying underneath the truck yesterday changing oil.. and what do I spot? GREASE. Why CV joints? Why must you be so fragile? The other side doesn't look great either so I'm gonna replace both and probably the driver's side hub as a preventative move.

Somehow this build's not dead yet!

Just replaced the blower fan this past week. Also, was under the truck the other day doing an oil change and discovered... GREASE! CV Axle on the passenger side popped open again on the hub side. Upon inspection of the driver's side I found that it is not long for this world either. New CVJreman axles sitting in the garage for me to get some free time to do the swap.

Also, re-derped the roof and front bumper a few days ago. They hate us cause they anus

I just redipped the front of mine too! Fuck em. Lol

Did you remove the old before applying new, or just spray over it. I did the latter and thinking I might peel it all off and start fresh.

I took all of my dip off and reapplied and that's how I have always done it personally. The internet said that WD40 works wonders for getting off dip applied too thin (which my roof was). It did get the stuff off, but I figure there's gotta be a better way. It took FOREVER and required a lot of elbow grease. If you have it on thick enough I say peel it off. Much easier. If I were to do it again I would try to use the dip remover available from dipyourcar.com to see if it works better.

Perfect, thanks man. That's what I was wondering

I'll try just peeling it all off, and resort to WD40 last.

For over spray of my emblems I used a gun cleaning/golf club cleaning rag that has some sort of oil in it..couldn't tell ya what it is, im assuming basic oil based cleaner but little elbow grease and it removed all the over spray easily.

I was worried about that, but I never saw any signs of it. It was small areas I tested in first of course lol.

Alas, I cannot reconfirm because the tank is no longer with us.

Spent all day Saturday working on the pickup. Replaced some shot Light Racing rubber bushings with the poly ones that are MUCH better quality than those which they replaced. Also replaced the front bushings on my Dakar heavy packs with poly ones. Truck is going back on the lift tonight to replace the drivers side hub assembly and we will also be searching for a thud that I am experiencing when I have a stopping event when changing direction. Sound started up when I had replaced my CV axles so we'll start there...

Last but not least I removed the 3rd leaf from my Dakar leaf pack and added a 1" block to compansate for the change in height. Ride is SO MUCH BETTER! I can actually feel the rear end of the truck articulate when going over obstacles. I really regret not doing this years ago. If anyone reading this has the Dakar pack that comes with the OME setup and is dealing with a stiff rear end do yourself a favor and get it done. Only thing I wish would be different is that the height decrease wasn't as significant as I was expecting and the 1" block actually lifted me a tad. If I get a hankering to change up my suspension again I will probably change the block out for a smaller one. Considering the shackle flip kit anyway. @Yager78 @bigstik

Still riding that fence of keeping the truck or trading up. If I keep the rig I think that I will finally see what all the hubbub is about and spring for a set of Kings.

P.S. Don't mind the rust. :p THANKS MINNESOTA. If I do decide to buy new shocks imma rehab everything underneath there. Good thing is that everything appears to just be surface rust.

After installing my LR UCA I would not want to have to replace those bushing. Only because the bolt to get them off is a pita

I installed the bolt backwards after going through the mess of taking it out the first time. Much easier insert and removal going forward.
