That is a pretty nice tundra you have lol but I think I'm pulling the trigger in the next few weeks and ordering a DTF kit for my front and if I do that, I'm keeping the truck for sure.

 

why build it when you can buy one built for 1/2 the price of what you'll spend building one from the ground up. #realtalk

Yeah man I see all these badass taco's for sale! Everything isn't about the money for me though/getting the best deals/etc. I am learning a lot from building up Phillip and it's more the experiences and memories I have that i value more! All my buddies and I work on eachothers vehicles and help eachother out and get to bond and have fun! Sounds cheesy and all but it's the truth. And yeah my plans are DTF kit, re-gear then keep it like that for a while until I can get a DD and then start caging it and whatnot.

 

Quality pictures is what sells things on craigslist bud. Many will knock it, but an ad with good clean clear photos facing the right direction and well written ad will attract many more people and make a HUGE difference in the crowd you attract. Many people will skip over a bad ad because "If they're to lazy to write an ad correctly and take some good pictures what else did they skip on".... I bet you would be surprised at the difference listing all the exact mods, and taking some nice photos of the truck would do for you! . You have a damn nice truck, present it to people who are using a photo to entice them as such, first impressions are huge after all!

LOL money does talk ehh. My friend has one of their kits on his Silverado and it's a nice beefy kit. I just fell in love with DTF's kit.

Exactly. That's why good quality pictures is what truly sells things on craigslist.

 

You're basically creating a build thread for your truck. And breaking everything down into categories. Listing factory options. That the a.c. is cold in July still etc. After that you're onto the mods. Anything that is "custom" better have photos because many people that say they can weld etc should never be allowed to touch a hand wrench let alone a welder. Put the truck in an empty cul de sac or somewhere to take some good clear photos. Seeing things with beds full of crap or shoved in the back corner of a shop doesn't sell.... The empty lot behind stores is often a great place. Clean the suspension up. Detail the vehicle. Etc. I also shy away from freshly detailed motors because its often hiding things. Etc...

 

Exactly. Its some small things that make a big difference. After work I think ill make a thread of a craigslist ad template, and outline a few things as it would be useful for anyone!


Especially since a lot of us are of the "younger crowd" its hard to sell things because many people won't buy a heavily modified anything from someone young who may or may not have respected it.
