I'm getting a Galaxy DX-98VHP radio. Getting it tuned from bells cb in florida. With a Wilson 1000 magnatic roof mount. I have a 2017 TRD ORDC W/ premium and technology package. Can I mount the antenna close to the shark find on top of the truck? Or does there need to be some separation?

Hello OP, do you think the tailgate mounting bracket could support a 102" steel whip, second question if I ground mounting bracket directly to the frame should give me a good SWR reading. I have a 2016 Taco with composite bed. Last question I was thinking of mounting a headache rack so I could get the antenna to the center of the truck for better ground plain. I don't do any 4 wheeling not worried about the height. Thanks for taking the time explaining the basic fundamentals, nice set up by the way...
