I spoke with someone "in the know". Extended travel (not to be confused with long travel) is the same price as standard travel.

I'll be getting extended travel with resis and a set of Camburgh or TC uniball UCA's

They want to make a remarkably bad decision, apparently.

really even after the icon wawa thread. I can't believe people still would go for that. ADS is by far the smoothest shock I have ever ran on a truck.

I'm trying to figure out part #s, but I'm about 99% sure I'm in. We'll hit 10 for sure

I know the vendor who's facilitating this GB is going to speak with each person individually before the orders are placed. I don't think knowing the exact part #'s is so important. You just need to know what you want.

I guess that's more what I meant. I'm trying to determine which setup best fits my needs.

Yea, the King GB is probably hurting it. King is a more well known brand, so it's hard to sway someone to pay more for suspension parts that they know little about. ADS compares their product to "other companies'" products and it definitely appears to be better made than some, but doesn't name the companies. Could be Icon, rancho, etc.. Just hard to make that decision based off ads. I've also heard that ADS is basically a backwards engineered King, and I'm not even a big "off roader", so not sure what the word on the street is out West.

I'm sure the quality is pretty on par with King from what I've read, so price is probably the driving factor here.

There are only so many ways to engineer a shock and it really comes down to different types of valving, but I would be careful with spreading things like this. I have heard nothing but good things about ADS and they manufacture their shocks in house, King has an impressive resume and top notch quality, but they are not the end all be all in the world of aftermarket shocks.
