Running 16" FN Countersteer wheels 18 lbs bc I like more side wall for off roading. You have to be careful with 16" especially with heavier tires. Takes more weights to balance and inexperienced places will stack weights and it will interfere with brake calipers or have rubbing issues if you ever drive through mud. E rated tires are heavier and stiffer but the extra plys will save your tires from tears and punchers.

Love the set up. Im looking to switch from my stock 16s to your exact set up. Did you have any rubbing or noticed any change in on road driving? Thanks

Could I assume that when running 16", load range E might provide a stiffer side wall and that the stiffer side wall might be useful when towing? Particularly at upper limits?

yep that's the point. towing, hauling, heavy trucks and rough road.

on the other hand they are less flexible when airing down.

Wow, those photos are from 2015! Not much has changed except I have a lot of scratches from tree branches.

You won't notice any difference in the ride, but make sure you get the c rated k02s. I never had any rubbing, and I've done a lot of off-roading. I think this is how these trucks should ship from the factory.

Here are some recent photos. I'm still using this same setup:

Oh and I just noticed you have a TRD Pro, so even less likely to feel different. I do envy the Pro, which is why I swapped the grille out :D

    You're comparing apples to oranges.
A 265/70/17 is a more accurate comparison to the 265/75/16.

Albeit you are correct that the 16" tire is still cheaper that the 17" option, but not quite by the landslide the screenshot depicts. For the Cooper AT3, its more in the neighborhood of $75-100 depending on where you purchase.

I had these on my F150... they were aggressive enough for me. Get 'em.

    Oh. I had the P265/70r17.

Wondering if anyone has had issues with going from a 17" wheel to 16" on their sport? I went to order some 265/75/R16 for my sport and they said I had to be careful as their maybe fit issues with the caliper clearance? Anyone have issues with this? I was looking at getting some Method NV's. The guy said they haven't had issues with the FN rims but can't say I'm in love with them.

Normally I’m not a fan of white letters but your set up makes it work really well!

New to me 09 Sport with stock silver 16" wheels, no lift and want to go with the black TRD wheels. Does going to a 17 effect gearing and if staying with a 16, what offset is going to be needed to avoid rubbing?
    TIA

I'm thinking of going with that tire or ridge grapplers. Big O's telling me these will not hold up in the heat of the summer (I'm in Southern New Mexico), that it's to hot for Yokohamas. Not sure if he's pushing Nitto's cause of stock from either mfg. Reason he may be on to something, I lived in Northern Colorado and Yokohamas where common sight, while down in NM it's a rare occasion.
