I did my 30k service this weekend and went ahead and changed out the PCV valve too. I used an OEM replacement. By the way, the old one was fine, rattled just like the new one.

Anyway, I noticed it was incredibly hard to get the old one out. I ended up having to spray it with PB Blaster and wait fifteen minutes or so. I still had to use a breaker bar to break it loose from the head.

The new one screwed in fine and I backed it out to check and make sure it wasn't cross-threaded and the threads were nice and sharp. But I noticed it didn't thread in all the way. There are a fair amount of threads still outside of the head. It sealed up fine and runs fine, but I guess I expected it to come out and go in easier/better?

Anyone else have a similar experience?
