Has anyone else had trouble ordering from Joying lately?
I'm attempting to buy a wiring harness... and the shipment information isn't being passed along to PayPal. Keeps erroring out and redirecting me back to Joying.

    EDIT:

Nevermind. It looks like PayPal and Joying's sites don't work well with Chrome ...

BUT! Just ordered a unit, camera, and harness ... I'll update once it's in and running.

I'm still waiting on the Joying harness to arrive ... it's not yet been 5 business days, so I'm not worried yet.
But I have the head unit and backup camera sitting in the box.
    waiting.
    just sitting there.
    mocking me.
I have soooooo many other mods I want to make but they all start with this one ...

I emailed them asking a question and got an auto response saying they are out of the office for Chinese New Year until Feb 5

Wait. I thought they had a US distributor?
Either way. Well, crap. That's really annoying and screws up some plans ...

    EDIT 2:
Welp. It's still not here. It turns out that the entire country shuts down for Chinese New Year ... combine that with the fact that adding expedited shipping is not something that they have an option for (you have to go to a separate link, make note of it, and pay for it there) on the order page ... who knows when I'll get it in. It could be another two weeks. And if so, that's bad because I'm moving to a different state...

Been toying with the idea of getting this for an audio upgrade for my '14 double cab. Is it just the head unit, wiring harness, and the Metra dash kit needed?

I have the non-JBL w/ Nav head unit in there now. As well as backup camera and steering wheel controls.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the US side of the Joying suppliers? The email support through their website goes direct to China...and they've been unresponsive to requests for help.

Never tried contacting them. Are you having an issue? I have had mine in now for over a month and so far it has been ok. I plan on writing up a full review soon

I have it installed in the schosche dash kit. It was not easy lol, I had to force it in to get the fit I wanted but it is do-able. The Metra kit may be easier. And yes, that is all you need. Be sure to get the Joying specific wiring kit if you want the installation to go very smooth and be able to use your steering wheel controls. Would only reccomend using the unversal toyota harness if you are comfortable crimping and have a decent understanding of car electronics.

The issue is the shipping ... it's been nearly a month since I ordered it and am moving soon. The package doesn't look like it'll arrive before I move. (also, the fact that expedited shipping IS available but you can't add it to your order during check-out is annoying and they should fix it for the next guy)

Damn that is unfortunate. I purchased all my components through Amazon so I have no experience dealing with them. But when you do get ready for install let me know your experience. It's not perfect but for the price I am very satisfied. Hope it holds up

Does the new model work with the existing Bluetooth or does it utilize their Bluetooth mic?

    Edit:
Also curious if anyone has the wiring for the original Bluetooth to maybe splice into the Android?

Same with the GPS Antenna, can the original be removed and the new one mounted in its place or an adapter to use the one already installed?

    How'd you manage that?
The harness wasn't available on Amazon when I looked.

Couple questions for you guys who have one of these. Do they come with the GPS antenna, bluetooth mic, ect? Also, how do these head units access the internet to do things like play Pandora, ect? Do you have to use your cell as a hotspot or something?

They come with a GPS antenna, works decent, mine might work better if I mounted it on the dash instead of hidden inside the dash, but I didn't want it showing. It does come with a bluetooth mic, but I didn't install it. You need to use your phone as a hotspot and have it connect to that via WiFi to get an internet connection.

Did anyone not use the DHL shipping for the harness. How long did it take to arrive?

This unit mirrors your phone, correct? Do text and email notifications show up on the screen while driving? Can that feature be disabled while using Google maps? I can just see myself ordering the wife a birthday present then getting a notification pop up on the screen.

Just my luck she would be sitting beside me and I get an email from the jewelry store letting me know the jewelry I ordered is ready to be picked up.

Does head unit automatically gets data from phone without Wi-Fi? Or do I have to turn on hot-spot each time?
