Maf cal or bullydog on Na engine

I'm looking into possibly getting a maf calibrator or a bullydog on my natural aspirated engine. I have a k&n filter and a magnaflow exhaust. Will I gain anything from either device? I'm not looking to get 500hp from this setup, but I wouldn't mind a little more pickup. I drive very aggressively and want to know if either of these will help out in the lower end torque range. Any info would be appreciated.

 

The maf calibrator has been proven for quite a few years.
Bully got themselves laughed right out of their own thread when they left many buyers as guinea pigs and only a portion of claimed options worked.

Id stick with Gadget and URD.

Gadget found 15hp from a stock tacoma with it.

 

It won't be enough for the money. Gains are minor especially for your changes

Save your money and get a supercharger. Or better yet get a car to drive daily

No can do.... Truck is a daily driver for work....and supercharger is the price of a secondary car

I had it a few yrs ago.
Cant really complain, truck didnt drive like a ferrari, but it also didnt blow up.

 

Currently running my Bullydog tunner on my NA Engine with a custom tune for the TRD intake. No issues. Engine has 400,000KM and has not grenaded yet.

I have a TRD supercharger that I will be installing soon.

 

Notice any gains as is?

 

I spoke to gadget at urd. He is saying based on my setup I should be seen 15hp gains. 12 with an afe cai.

 

15 hp at the rear wheel. 12 hp with afe cai alone, just as a price point reference.

 

He said 27hp combined?!

Or the maf cal is good for 3 on top?

 

No. I asked him what's the best bang for buck and he stated that the maf cal is about 15hp at $250 and the afe cai should do 12hp at $420 by itself.
