Welp, ordered up the Miller 211 this morning. Should do everything I'll ever need to weld.

Anyone interested in a Miller 252 MIG? Only a year and a half old, has dual cylinder running gear kit with cable/gun tower on the side. paid $2800, asking $1800. We're in Reno, could potentially meet in the middle/deliver within reason.

The hull is formed from a set of plans. The plans were for actually for a wood drift boat. I had to adapt them for the thinner material. Not a big deal.

As for everything else, I copied ideas off other boat images I found on the internet. There were no measurements supplied for this stuff. All trial and error.

This build has been a hell of a lot of fun. I'm hoping to take it down to the river this weekend and give it a proper leak test. I can't do more than that. I got no oars.

That is one hell of a deal and a welder! I don't need another Miller MIG unit, but I'll endorse and give you a thread bump.

If anyone is worried about the quality of Miller MIG units, don't. That unit will last several lifetimes.

I actually have a spool gun setup, was on the 252 in the past hence the dual cylinder rack on it, but now it's on a 350P. Aluminum runs sooooo much better on pulse

Yikes!! Pretty good without making any adjustments yet though. Definitely need to get used to it and mess with the gas and amps. Welds really nice from what I can tell, will post more when they become tig porn worthy

    Way too HOT!

If the weld is grey, it's too hot. Shoot for pretty colors and you will be in the ballpark.

    Keep practicing, you'll get it.

18-20 CFS is good for Mild steel, SS, and aluminum. If your not running a monster 2" cup or something crazy like that.
