For everyone thats been asking me about my TRD Pro decal as seen on a few pictures in other 3rd Gen forums, And for anybody else who has an interest in the decal, Here is the official thread for purchasing said decal. They are designed from OEM Tacoma Design Data I obtained from another aftermarket project. They will look exactly like the OEM decal. NOT the other sport graphic floating around out there with the long fangs.

Hood scoop can just be wrapped or plasti-dipped.

Vinyl is ORACAL high quality matte black.


It is fairly easy to install with a credit card and mild soapy solution (***NOT DISH Detergent***) baby shampoo works best. Just line it up and take your time. with the soapy solution you can still move it around until its perfect, then just scrape the solution out from center moving outward being careful not to stretch the decal.


The cost with shipping included in a shipping tube is $55

These look great on the truck. Just like factory TRD Pro. I plasti-dipped my scoop and it matches perfectly. Lovin the look.

Be sure to use a mild soapy solution in a spray bottle( I used Baby shampoo and added water/ 4 parts water: 1 parts shampoo) Clean your hood area really good. I even used a clay bar to get rid of any sediments.

Spray decal as you're peeling it away from backing material so it doesn't stick to itself. These will stick to itself and it's very hard to pull it apart without messing it up. So please be careful and spray solution on sticky part of decal as you pull it apart. Just like tinting your windows. Also spray the hood area and just Float the decal in place. You have plenty of time if your hood is not hot. Allow hood to cool before applying.
While it's floating, just align it up with hood lines and start to use credit card or plastic scraper and squeeze the water out from center outwards. Take your time and be gentle. Peel top clear layer off gently and off you go.

I own a 2017 White Tacoma TRD PRO. Unfortunately, I got into a highway collision and the hood needed replacing. Everyone is having trouble finding the part number for this hood decal.

Appreciate making the effort to create this! Will likely buy it.

 

Where were you 6 months ago! I ended up cutting my own because I couldn't find anyone making them.
If I sent you vinyl, can you cut it?
