Anyone else out there have the same problem? I have 1800 mi on my taco and had to get the battery replaced at the dealership due to a bad cell. Truck was starting slow this morning so I left it running when i got to work. I turned it off then tried to start back up and nothing it would just crank over. Lights were dim I assume not enough juice to give full power to the fuel and ignition system to make it fire. I jumped it and ran straight to dealer they tested it came back bad cell so 45min later I drove out of there with a new 84mo sure start toyota battery.

Seen two in tacomas, but many of more other vehicles. It happens, unfortunately.

Maybe post about it on the Johnson Controls forum?

I've had it happen in other vehicles. Once when the battery was pretty new. It's a battery thing, unrelated to Tacos.

Just had a cell go bad in my one year old battery. Measured 10.2 volts. Got it started and drove to the dealer. They had to jump it to get it out of their indoor service reception area. Left with a new battery, no charge.

Invoice states that removed battery was manufactured by Johnson Controls.

My wife's '14 Camry Se battery went dead after one year. Toyota replaced it.
