    This is true.

On the road, a 2017 4x4 Quad cab Canyorado will do high 14's in the quarter and a low low 6 in the 0-60 sprint (that's getting within half a second of some Ecoboost numbers)

For off road capability, only the Frontier Pro4X comes close. It has the e-locker, upgraded suspension, and bigger tires stock (265/75/16) but all of that is hampered by a Queen Mary turning radius.

When the ZR2 comes out, maybe the Tacoma will have a worthy competitor, assuming it's not just a sticker package.

    Competition is good.

Lack of competition leads to complacency, stagnation, and no incentive to innovate.

The thing I see here is everyone is comparing different vehicles to each other. Yea let's pit @smitty99 's GTO against the Tacoma while were at it. Yea I know that's a bit of a stretch. But the Tacoma was built to off-road not race. The F-150 was built to Haul with good fuel economy on a V6.

Turning radius, size, weight, all of it comes into a factor. It really just comes down to weather or not you like what you drive, and if not then get something you do like to drive.

The ZR2 could run circles around the tacoma but the white Knights would never acknowledge it. They'll dismiss it with broad brush strokes like "well it's a GM so it sucks"

Just released this week, toyota bolt on T/C for the 3rd gen Tacoma.

Toyota stated due to excess complaining about an f150 being quicker than a NA 3.5 engine on Tacoma world that the kit would hit local delearships within the next few weeks.

You were probably feeling the better road holding in the Full Size because of the wider track width, l did a quick look up of the specs and the Taco was .71g and the F150 was .75G so your seat of the pants feeling of the Full size handling better was correct.

I see this thread has gotten away from talking about the ecoboost, but if you think the F-150 is quick with one, then I'll make you jealous and show you what I get to drive for work vehicles with the Ecoboost.

From a ship, also where I make my money.

O ya F150 F150 F150 post is still on topic. I drove a Eco Boost on logging roads for 2000 kms early last year, and still bought a Tacoma. Never let off the gas cause it was a rental. Just not my style.

I wouldn't say the f150 handled better, but yes wider is better, so they say.

So.... you bought it for the purpose of racing with obvious douchebags? Just remember that the size of a truck is inversely proportional to the size of the owner's penis. Except for a ford, where you also apply a constant multiplicative factor of 1/5 to the size of the owner's penis.
