No need to talk method of application, but curious what everyone is using.
I've always used meguiars washes and waxes, but wondering if there's something else to try.

I was considering chemical guys wash & wax as a soap then continue with megs wax every 2-3months but can't decide. I keep reading good and bad reviews on chemical guys.
One reason I'm considering chemical guys is because you can buy in larger quantities off Amazon. 1Gal jugs are like $30CND, a 1.4L jug of Megs is $21CND, for $9 more I can get almost twice as much.
Its irritating with CG having to go through all their different products, and reading reviews many claim they are all very similar. Meanwhile Megs only offers a few cleaners

Waste of time. Any decent wash will do, meguiars is fine. Then use hydro2 to seal it up. Google it and watch a video. I can seal and entire truck (aka wax as most people call it) within a few minute using hydro2...glass and all. Beads great and lasts for many months.

Optimum No Rinse Wash and Wax (the green bottle) when I am not feeling lazy.

Works really well. I use the one bucket method, just pre-soak with spray bottle of diluted solution, then wipe with soaked microfiber of the stuff, then dry with micofiber cloth. Discard both cloths and move on to new section with fresh cloths.

Aside from that I plan to get it professionally detailed/waxed ~1-2 times per year.

You can find a lot od good info in the Detailing Section Forum on here, that said I use Chemical Guys soap with a Foam Cannon and like it a lot, use different waxes and polishes for different times of the year.

I hate waterless washing. Fenderwells still look bad when you're done. We only use that if it is freezing temps or washing an exotic or something in someone's garage or showroom/shop.

I was using meguiars soap for awhile and I ran out so I tried this stuff that my friend gave me, armor all "power wash gel" and it worked great, no streaks or anything even in the sun nice and shiny. Then I just wax with turtle wax rubbing compound and meguiars carnauba

It has done well enough for me with it being a truck that I daily and park outside, but I live in an apartment in Commiefornia, so its either that or the local gas station wash.

I use blue coral from walmart.... $3.85 for 100 ozs. Works for me. And I use XXX wax and Jet Seal from chemical guys, along with Blacklight AIO an V07 from them also. Chemical guys makes amazing products. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I use mothers wash, then wax with meguiars ultimate wax for warm months. For colder weather when I can't clean it regularly I wax with collinite double coat. The collinite went on back in October, still beads up and looks really good.

I save Collinite to use right before the Winter.

That sucks. You're only other option would be spending a lot to pay a legit detailer. That can add up really quick though.

Haha, been using it for more than a couple of years now. It works great on every part of the vehicle. I do it on Plastics, the body, Wheels really anything you would normally wax or seal up this works well on. If a vehicle is garage kept it will be water pretty good for up to 6 months no problem.

Easy to get on and off, won't stain trim and plastic.

Check the reviews online. One of the best bang for your buck waxes out there
