FYI, if you extend your battery cables by ~ 4inches you can run a group 27, not 27F which is MUCH easier to find. Unfortunately i didnt know this when i went to wallmart in need of my replacement. So i ended up with a 24F battery, which actually has more CCA's than the 27 / 27F battery but less reserve capacity.

Got a new Interstate battery about 4 months ago. Chose that because that's what it originally came with. Already died once, because of my stupidity. There was like a 2 week stretch where i would listen to music with the car off.

Mine went at just over 3 years just like my 2009. I got a 27 from Auto Zone. It gave some warning. Started to experience starter drag.

Nearly 3 years gone by on my stock battery.

Appears to have been leaking a little bit.

Will be looking to replace after this coming summer.

Got 4 years out of the stock battery in this, that is a long healthy life in this heat.

I just replaced mine only got 27 months out of it. My dash cams run down to a certain voltage when I shut the truck off. When new, I would get about 60 hours of parked recording. That dropped to about 2 hours and I noticed it struggling to turn over a couple times. The cameras suck the life out of the battery but they are worth it.

Funny this post popped up. Today my truck had a hard time starting so after my son's basketball game I drove over to my friendly neighborhood Advance and had them check out my battery, alternator, and starter. All tested okay, with the battery showing it needed a charge so that tells me I need to go for a trail ride! ;)

Original lasted me about 30 months, which seems to be about average for my vehicles.

My original battery just died on me this afternoon. My 2011 sits for 1-2 weeks at a time, though. So I'm really not surprised.

It's funny how the life spans differ from person to person. ~3 years is a good run for batteries out here. Anything longer is a bonus.

Plopping in an Optima tomorrow to see if I can outlast the crappy Autozone Duralast Gold's that we seem to eat up like appetizers out here.

I've consistently gotten 5 years here in Alberta but it's been pretty mild winters the last few.

If the battery isn't bad, why replace it? You can bring the thing in to be tested, and they'll tell you how good it still is -- i.e., how much of the specified CCA and reserve capacity it still holds.

Just had to replace my battery yesterday in my 2006 Prerunner. Had about a weeks notice as the truck started turning over slower than usual.

However, now there's a decent vibration when at a stop light when in gear. Anyone have a similar experience?
