I have been waiting for a deal on Fox coil overs to level out the front of my truck, and when researching I see that BDS has announced they have Fox branded upper control arms with ball joints. Anybody else notice this or have a set on order yet?

I was convinced I was going Camburg, but now I might have to give these a try. If the street price normalizes to align with Camburg, they could be worth a look.

Moog is OEM type. Most aftermarket uses heim or uniball.

I am looking at balljoint style. I know most people here seem to lean towards the uniball, but I prefer the ball joint for my use.

The Camburg looks to be about a $530 street price, plus another $40 for the caps, while the MSRP for the BDS/Fox looks like $700. So if there is no real benefit to the Fox, I will still probably go Camburg unless the price normalizes to close to the same. Both are similar construction and both have Moog ball joints.

Very nice but they're the same price as the uniball Camburgs and Total Chaos. $699.95 MSRP...

Uniballs tend to need more maintenance if that factors into what you buy at all.
Moog balljoints are typically top of the line for oem replacements. They also sell multiple lines of the same joints, such as oem, super, and hd. I use there hd line on all my vehicles and have not had issues. And my truck sees lots of crawling/mud etc.

I actually ended up selling my lowered setup and have since went with fox 2.5 resi coilovers with dscs and 2.5 resi shocks with dscs. As it stood the ride was a lot stiffer than factory to an unnecessary degree because the shocks were nearly fully compressed constantly and bottoming out over the smallest dips. I had 5100s though so stock could be different. Much happier with the fox stuff and total chaos ucas now. Better performance and much better ride

Thread revival because I'm likely about to purchase the BDS UCAs. I didn't know about them until this past weekend. I went to the Offroad Warehouse grand opening event and was talking to the guy from BDS. I didn't know that they were owned by Fox with another brand that I'd never heard of (Zone Offroad). After talking with the rep for a while, I'm seriously considering them. (For the record, it is very unlike me to purchase something this expensive when I learned about it so recently)

For a daily driven truck, I would not get heim joints as someone above suggested. Race truck doing the Baja, sure....but not something I'm taking the family on the highway. They will transfer more of the road energy to the frame and therefore to the cab. I've also heard of heim joints causing issues where the mounting points are connected to the frame. The BDS uses a rubber bushing similar to OEM, which should translate to a more comfortable ride as compared to heim joints.

They are designed for a 2-3" lift and can be used with the 6" lift kits as well. I'm currently at around 2.5" and may adjust up to 3". Some of the others that I've considered, like the OME UCA are designed for 0-2" lift.

I also like the idea of the sealed ball joint over a uniball. I know people will argue this one until they are blue in the face. I'm not looking to change anyone's mind here, but I think I've decided the ball joint is the way I want to go.

I also like that the BDS has a spot to mount the ABS wire, which some others do not have and require zip ties.

So I guess at this point, I'd like to hear from anyone who has experience with the BDS UCA. There isn't a lot out about them and I dont see many posts with them on IG.
