Looks like no BBQ'in for me for 30 days! :annoyed: Apparently no charcoal grills allowed here at the company provided digs. Weird cause I swear there's a grill on every damn balcony! :notsure:

Anyone know of any inexpensive electric cookers??

You could cold smoke and then cook in the oven. Get an amaz-n-tube and have at it!

Salt Lick has a really good brisket dry rub we can buy in the local grocery store. I alternate between that and Cooper's dry rub. Both are amazing. The Salt Lick is a BBQ experience like no other. They have a county sheriff directing traffic from the highway to the parking lot on weekends. Expect to wait up to 2 hours to eat, cash only. The place seats about 700 people. Live bands and free BBQ samples while you wait. Be sure you go to the original in Driftwood, not the one in Round Rock. The food is the same, but an altogether different experience. Central Texas is blessed with the greatest BBQ in the world, and Salt Lick is far from the best, but worth the trip.

So I have 50lbs of salami, bologna and snack sticks to make this weekend. 1/2 will be spicy and smoked. Gonna be a fun weekend!
