UCAs aren't rubbing with the truck on it's own weight, but at less than full droop they are going to hit. Might have to install some limit straps...

That was my thinking. They arm assembly will either touch at the UCA/Strut or it will hang on the steering rack depending on which hits first. Most people don't notice when it hangs on the steering rack but that could be just as bad depending on what kind of driving you anticipate.

All you need to do is rotate the spring so that the uniball cup falls between the coils upon droop. With my Icons, when I turn the preload collar the spring turns with it.

Thanks for putting this out there. Not a lot of 1ft gen installs. Do you think that the benzomatics will be up to the task ??

    To the op thanks also.

Anyone know if their replacement UCA is the same one that's on their LT kit?

lots of mods and more coming
If the bushing is over greased through the zerk fitting, can it cause the mushrooming and if so how would you relieve pressure? Unbolt and reassemble? I have this problem and now think I over greased it.

Yeah just loosen the nut and the grease can escape. No need to disassemble.

The nut of the main bolt going through it all, right or loosen the zerk fitting itself?

I mean the main nut. If you loosen the big nut and work the arm up and down a bit all the grease under pressure should distribute better.

Add me to the list of people who stripped the Zerc and had to buy one from Lowes.

Thanks for the write up... I was looking at the bolts convinced there was no way they were coming out, couldn't believe how little I had to bend the fender!
