Back in April of 2016 the dealer in San Antonio hooked it up. For some reason I could not find any SR double cabs south of Dallas. I'd find one and it would sell before I could get to the dealer. Finally North Park hooked it up and did a dealer to dealer trade and even that took 3 weeks. I had walked in already approved with my bank so I had a bit of an edge. Afterwards the salesman said I got it pretty close to invoice.

Is it level or nose high? Hard to judge from the angle.

    4WD?

If they did not only come in auto 2wd, the 2.7 SR double cab would have been very tempting. It is a great value if you don't need 4x4.

How did you get a double cab like 3 grand below what the are asking for an access cab? Is it not 4x4?

Edit-never mind somebody beat me to it as I was writing

Check out this SR they are asking 42,000 for it. I said they were nuts the base 4x4 SR dbcb is only I think 28,000 and that lift is just a 6 inch lift with stock front struts and wheels and tires.

Picked up my SR today! 4x4, 2.7L 4-Cyl. Engine, 5-Speed Manual Transmission. Very pleased with my decision:

I posted this in the Billie 5100 thread too, but since it's SR related:

Bilstein 5100s all around, no lift rear, front set at .65" / 2nd notch, 265/75 16 tires

Ive had my SR for a week now. 2017 2.7 manual with convenience package in MGM. Did not care for the predator steps, removed those and added weathertech mud flaps. I also ordered some of the TRD pro wheels in gray, trying to figure out what size and all terrain tires to go with. Want to keep the mud flaps if possible. Seems like 265/65 is the safest bet.

Alot of nice SR's in here... definitely the best looking tacoma trim in my opinion.

265/75 16 will fit, it is the largest size that will fit with no lift, with no rubbing even on mud flaps.

Lots of good choices for AT tires, I personally have had great luck with the Firestone Destination A/T but I'd never presume that it's the only good choice. For my needs though they have worked great on several different vehicles over 50,000+ miles.

Tested out the Billies today on my go-to rough dirt road. 15 miles of single lane dirt on the top of a mountain, rutted from a lot of rain, and snow covered. I am actually very impressed. The rear 5100s are apparently the same (minus the color) as the OEM Toyota OR rear shocks, and they are a lot nicer than the OEM Toyota Hitachi rears. Before, I felt like the rear end would skip left or right as it hit holes, which was highly aggravating. The new shocks have essentially eliminated this phenomenon and the truck just feels planted. Holes and ruts are absorbed firmly but smoothly and predictably. I'm quite pleased. I can only imagine how good a "good" suspension would be, since the Bilsteins are still pretty cheap.

My '17 SR. Very happy with it. Blacked out the front emblem over the weekend.

I guess I should have specified the trd pro wheels are 17s. Looks like a couple people are running 265/70/17 with flaps.

Your truck looks pretty level with the 1500s I may have to go that route in the future, cant stand the rake.

What did you guys pay for the 3.5 4x4 sr dcsb I'm looking and best offer has been $30,900.
That's from costco's auto program. Others hover around 31,500-32

I saw the guy above get his for 25 k and that seems like a steal

Edit: found out 25k was for 2.7 engine which is still a steal but I want 4x4 for times I go snowboarding

I got mine at an even 30k. They knocked off 2k right away. Minus a cheap trade so 29.2k with that.
