FWIW I've been completely unimpressed with the ability of cheap LED bars to throw light any distance. A shit ton of lumens doesn't do you any good if they're scattered all over the place. Stick with Halogen, or HIDs, for distance. A name brand LED bar with proper optics would also do well if you're willing to fork out the cash. Cheap bars are fine for fill.

Who am I kidding? Put a 42" LED bar on the roof 'cause it looks cool and never use it.

I do desperately want to fit in...

What is your preference on halogen vs. HID driving lights?

HIDs are brighter and will have better throw distance, but cost more money. They only real downside I see is warm up time. How will you be using them? I use my Halogen Hella 4000s on all the 2 lane highways and other low-traffic roads around here and like the ability to flick them on and off instantly.

Hmm this is the second time I have heard of the Iggy brand... usually critics say to go with BD, Rigids or Cali raised

    Thanks, Brett!

I see my usage being basically the same as yours. Mostly just a way to get some light throw out past the high beams in order to see obstacles, wildlife, etc. Nothing too crazy.
    Gigantic ball of plasma! Nice!

Are you sure they're still sliders and not a slider-shaped rust pile?
