    Stock and staying that way
A pair of Remington's I've picked up recently.
First is a 5R 308 MilSpec, with a Timney Calvin Elite trigger @1#. Leupold 4.5-14x VX3i. Not really a long range rifle, but a good basis for one. In the near term I plan to hunt feral hogs with it.

Second one is a trued action in .223 with a Krieger barrel, Calvin Elite @8oz, KRG chassis, Primary Arms 4.5-14x ACSS HUD. Liberty Triumph on the end. Rifle was built by Northwest Action Works.

I'd love to see Shot Show someday. I try to get to Dallas every other year for DSC. I'm more into hunting rifles and that is always an expensive show for me.

Anyone interested in a Savage 111 LRH 6.5x284 PM me for details. Proven shooter with load data for multiple loads at half MOA or better.

$750. Brand new cheapest I found was $900 bone stock and no smith work. I have pages and pages of test loads when I was developing.

Best load was a 3 shot .19 group at 100 yards.

    Spread the word. Thank you!

Still in the process of my build.
Juggernaut Tactical Upper and lower in Sniper Grey cerakote with matching 16.5" handguard
    Ballistics Advantage 18" barrel
    CMMG flat 3.5 lb trigger
WMD NIB X-bolt Nickel Boron bolt carrier group

That's where I'm at now. The other parts are either ordered or in the process of being ordered. Now my next dilemma is I've exhausted my budget and don't have an optic. I'm eventually wanting to go with a Trijicon Accupoint but that is going to have to wait. Gonna have to go with something cheaper for the time being. I was thinking maybe a Nikon prostaff or something in that price range. Any suggestions?

Maybe I can't read so good, or just to lazy to look at every post But I didn't see anyone mention repeatability. That is key. Any gun can be a long range gun. Even pistol rounds can travel great distances. The deal breaker is repeatability. The baseline goal should be 1"group 1 minute group if in MOA @100 yards or better. Then you can start to extend the range. Bottom line is do you research on Ballistic Coefficient. Understand the environment and application you will be shooting in and make your choice

Just gave my opinion on things to consider when choosing a "long range" rifle. Disagree with me??

Thanks for the Intel, but I would imagine that would be common sense with anyone getting into the marksmanship of long-distance shooting. You come on here out of nowhere spouting off remarks like that and not haven even read any of the prior threads on here, how do you expect people to respond? Try a, howdy every one, I'm new to the forum, my name is ###### and I love long-distance shooting.

Well, the competition season started. I shot the Bushnell Brawl(PRS) a few weeks ago. I did decent(15th), but definitely could of done better. It was fun.
I shot a club match last weekend, those are always fun, got 4th.
and I dropped off a rifle build to my gunsmith for a Wyoming hunt later this year, 6.5 SAUM.

Assuming .223/5.56? Certainly not .308 based off the mag. Lantac Dragon brake? If so I've got it on my 6.5 Grendel, nice brake.

Yeah. 5.56. It's the MI brake. I'm sure it's similar if not identical to the lantac

RAD, is that home rolled? If not that is some of the best manufactured stuff I've seen in a while.

I doubt you ruffled any feathers. Mostly just invoked at lot of well, duh responses. I'm pretty sure most if not all participants in this thread understand accuracy needs for their given distance. It's not like we're showing off our long range nagants and barn size targets.

    Anyway, welcome.
