Just re checked your post and saw that you went with 16s I actually like that look better because it shows more tire and looks more agressive to me over the 17s. And it looks like they have 4 16s in stock so may have to place or order tonight...

I just took it to a local body shop. They just painted it. Cost me $50. Well worth it. Lol

Thanks, I am super happy with how they turned out! Thinking that I need a bit of a lift, but that will probably be down the road a while.

its karma brother!!! I prefer the look of the smaller wheel too but its also practical off road as it creates more of a bulge which gives you a slightly better footprint and protects the rims just a little more.

Between you and iridedirtbikes yall confimed my suspension decision and going with 285s. Im suprised u have that much flex/travel with 285s and them set to 0. Cant wait to get all this on going to order suspension today and wheels Saturday hopefully have everything installed within a month.

Take the sway bar out and you'll have all kinds of travel.

My wheels are 3.5" back spacing as well.

dang, and I thought I was shallow at 4"! the sway bar thing is a tough one for me. I ran my Jeeps disconnected for years but it definitely caused some premature aging issues on things like control arms, u-joints, bearings, and the like. Off road, you have to disconnect to get the benefits of the suspension but I want to be able to bolt back up for the other 90% of the driving this truck will see. Problem is, it doesn't seem like you can easily swing the bar up and out of the way since there isn't a way to clear some of the pieces parts to do so.

Yeah, I looked at the quick disconnect option but it wasn't feasible on this truck. Honestly, with the 886 springs I can't tell a difference on road without the sway bar. I can see where having it in on the pavement may be wise for those with lifts higher than 3", but it's really a non issue with the height I'm sitting at.

The 3.5" backspaced wheels give me 1" of clearance from the UCA with 285's on. They stick out from the wheel well maybe 1/2" and definitely not enough to sling mud and crap up on the doors.

Well I've been too busy and not too many upgrades but here's where I'm at. Husky floor liners, Toyota rubber bed mat, cali raised led stealth lighbar. Have a set of mobtown sliders that just got powder coated and ready to install and waiting on a custom sema style aluminum bumper from Insain fabfrication complete with Baja design led light bar and fogs.
Going to find a custom grill that I can mount the cali raised led light bar into when I install the new bumper. Pics soon.

Waiting for delivery of our 2017 Quicksand TRD Offroad Crewcab longbed. We were pretty jazzed when Toyota resurrected the color. This is a picture of our FJ40 I painted in Dune Beige 416. I'll get a picture of the two of them together when the Tacoma arrives. Great website with lots of ideas.

Any luck on finding out if 255/75/17 will fit stock sport suspension? I'm thinking of giving it a shot..

265/75r16 is what I have. Couldn't get the narrower 255 in a 75 or 80 with 16 inch rim. Basically I was going for a 31 or 32 by 10 but ended up with 32x10.5r16 if you convert.
