Definitely more than 2 or 3, plus factor in the guys with 2nd gens who were about to buy a 3rd gen and opted with the 4runner instead.

Also have seen 3rd Gen owners on the Colorado & Ridgeline forums too getting rid of their Taco's. Not sure if Toyota can make a living only selling to Fanboys ha ha.

I never claimed to hate Toyota. In fact good luck finding another brand with the reputation and residuals rivaling Toyota. I'm not a fan of the 3rd gen having owned one and offed it promptly once I realized what a headache I bought.
whatever you chose to buy you gotta love it or it becomes a thorn in your side. If your happy then I'm glad for you but please understand there is many people that are not. There's no harm in voicing both sides of the equation

I'd love to get a 4runner someday. Problems in the meantime though:

    - No bed
    - Base price starts around 12K more than what I paid OTD for my Taco.

The TW forum is fine. The turd gen section is just getting roasted because #turdgen.

I realize my "post count" is only 69 ( now 70 ) but that's after I deleted nearly 1000 posts and threads and probably another 1000 with my other account 12Trd. Post count seems to be the "respect guage" here but rest assured I was fighting the good fight since the start. I was one of the first people to post about the causes and corrections for many issues including low fluids, vibrations, hoods and entune issues. There is people here that can vouch that I elaborated most of these issues months before any real information was present. Ask gearcruncher and smitty ( as many people as there is that dislike him he is a long time credible member ) and a few others still around for verification.
If I wanna call somebody a fan boy I have the right as I took a lot of flak from people like the hammer.
My situation has been resolved to my satisfaction and I agreed not to talk about my specific issues but there is going to be people on the internet with differing opinions sometimes for good reason.
I won't tell you NOT to defend your truck but at the same time plz understand I'm gonna state my opinions as I see them. Perception is reality.
Good luck to you brother and keep fighting your good fight too, there needs to be checks and balances on a healthy forum.

MT is a pain in the ass, but is needed in lieu of the shit box bolted to the 3.5.

I took a T4R out last Saturday with the wife. Very, very, very nice ride, but I won't trade my truck for that.

The wife's '08 Escape LTD... that POS I'd trade in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the $40K CAD price tag on the '16 T4R.

Congrats on the T4R man. I hope you're as happy with you choice as I am mine (and I had same very cool 1st & 2nd gens).

It's too bad some are either unhappy & forced to stay with the 3rd gen or taking the financial hit.

o_O... built in Mexico (for now) and Texas. I do not believe that they are delivered by boat. ;)

I've been thinking this for a while but thought TW wasn't the place to speak my mind.

Once the shinny wears off & if the problem areas don't get fixed, resale value will suffer. Especially with others rolling out other midsize offerings.

I may go the runner route, but not because I think the 3rd gen sucks.
