Ahhhh everything I knew I'd hear, none that I wanted. Like I said, it's not leaking bad but I know it's not going to improve. Looks like the suspension upgrade is delayed. Also, looks like I have plans the week after the big meet :frusty::frusty::fenforcer::fenforcer:

All in the way the cookie crumbles brother. Somebody on here will be able to help. Whether I can or not is yet to be seen. But you have plenty of options!

Yea I know someone here can and would help if I needed. I feel like I am capable of doing it once I see it. Videos are my best friend. Now it's finding some and finally breaking down and buying a good jack and stands that I trust.

I legit thought something was wrong as well. So I'm sure a they get a ton of calls. I haven't even had it off road either so you know everyone has experienced it.

I agree, it would be so easy for Toyota to fix, just add some more fluid! That just goes to show you how much they care after it leaves the factory.

There's something else going on here. Toyota would have noticed this in their small fleet of test vehicles that are built to spec and tested strenuously. Just like any manufacturer. The lack of attention to addressing the issue is irresponsible but I think it may be more than just a simple negligence or mistake situation.

That would be even more reason for a case imo.

Well what I mean is, the whole gängle of engineers and techs they have running that phase of the show would have noticed issues. And it would have been fixed on the specs. But what is someone dropping the ball on programming the robots that fill the tranny? Was it someone dropping the ball to even send out that MOC? Was it someone in a suit counting beans and asking "what's the least amount of fluid we can use without failure because we can save X amount."? Or was it just a data collection error where the robots (or people) thought they were putting the right amount in and they weren't, and now Toyota isn't proactively issuing a TSB? With some people's also being overfilled, I think that last one may be what it is.

No, according to Toytec, the spacer lift doesn't "need" a diff drop. With whatever suspension upgrade I do, I plan to have one even sticking to 3 inch lift max.

Also, looking at my CV angles, they really aren't that bad at all(compared to some others I have seen). I am thinking they are going bad more because of the 108k miles than them having bad angles.

My tundra was the same way, I'd put one on before you replace the cv's or during.

Yea, I have been shopping this morning for CVs and have learned that there really isn't an upgrade for CVs, so I'm looking at diff drops now.

For $30 it's not bad. I actually went to John Deere and got grade 8 bolts and washers and made my own. It was like $18-$22.

why would you put a diff drop on your truck? There is no way your truck will need it. All the diff drop does is roll it forward a hair it doesn't drop the entire thing.

Yeah on 2nd gen and 3rd gen tacomas it doesn't do anything. However it does help on 1st gens, and on older tundras and 4runners.

Maybe it's the drive shaft spacer? It came with my OME lift. I'll have to look when I get home.
