Whatsup tacomaworld, I need some help. I'm experiencing some vibrations up front as many others on here have and want to get to the bottom of the problem. I recently changed the spark plugs and coil packs and that helped but I'm still experiencing some small shudders(it's not quite shaking anymore). I'm wondering if the wheel bearings are the culprit and want to know if anyone has had any good experiences with using these as a replacement? Please let me know what my best option is or if these will possibly solve my issue. Thankyou. -Ryan IMG_3430.jpg

^ This is true. I've seen mods intervene over stuff like this. TacomaWorld takes calls for help seriously.

I will immediately, didn't even think about that. I apologize.

I have never had to do front wheel bearings on my truck, but with my experience with other vehicles and front WB's, you usually get an audible groaning or grindy-ish sound at certain speeds (and sounds are affected by turning the steering wheel while cornering) when the bearings are going, as well as possible vibes.

Tacoma front WB's are very large and robust from what I've been told and usually arent a first place to fail - others please chime in and correct me if that's not correct

If you have vibes up front and no audible bearing growl, and you can spin the front tires without excessive play or grinding, I would suggest first inspecting:

    - tires (correct pressures, any balancing weights that have fallen off causing unbalanced tires, and any mud/snow/ice built up in rims)
    - ball joints and steering tie rod ends (check for play)
    - proper wheel alignment

That's what I thought but at this point I was pointing my finger at anything. There is no groaning or noise up front so I will check all other things today and see what the outcome is. I think my truck is slightly out of line because the steering wheel has to be over a bit to the right to keep it going straight. Thankyou

Un-related but don't feel like making another thread...does anyone know how much more I can crank these coilovers? I was looking for 2 1/2 inch of lift and wanted to set them before I installed. There's a lot of thread left but I don't want to stress them IMG_3433.jpg

Yep. Every truck is different. You'll be able to get close. But if you want it exact, you'll still have to adjust them one way or the other. Plus they settle after a certain amount of miles too.

Yeh I thought they looked about on out of the box but wanted to try and get them as close as possible so less fine tuning later.
