Does anybody know or have any ideas about how to attach that PVC pipe where it is now without drilling and holes? and also any gas can mounts that you don't have to drill in the bed for?
Up for any DYI or purchases

2-part epoxy glue for your pipe, or drill holes in the track and zip tie it on.

Not what you want to hear, but have some courage and drill holes in the bed for mounts for your gas can. It's the best / easiest / safest way and you can use them to hold other cargo, etc :)

I've drilled about 60 holes now in mine. :)

    Using cargo track, works great!

Thanks for the perspective. I can empathize with your situation. Unfortuatnely not a lot of other options for the bed that I can think of. The epoxy glue might work for the bed, but I don't know that I'd trust it without testing.

    Good luck!

I mount jerry cans in the back corners of the bed with ratchet straps, with an added hook. There are two rings attached to the bed rail, one ahead of the can and the other behind the can. The ratchet strap hooks into the rear ring, across the can to the front ring and then down to the ring mounted in the corner of the floor of the bed. The ratchet mechanism is then at the front of the can. I usually put a ground cloth over the can to protect it from the mechanism and to prevent rubbing against the bed. Works great. Last time I had to fill 3 cans at once and the two I attached together rode with no problems.
