Have a shot at a 2005 with 160K (Km) in good shape for a reasonable price.

The truck is a trade-in at the local Toyota Dealer and they have it lined up for a new frame.

You don't run into that kind of a scenario everyday!

Can anybody offer any tips on how to proceed?

Concerned the frame job would trigger other new part requirements on my dime?

Concerned that if I make a deal, I'll be on the hook for extras i.e brake lines, other rusty parts.

    Much Obliged

    Sunny

While we were waiting for our frame on our 2005 we had it evaluated for trade-in on a new Tacoma.
Frame recall/replacement had no affect at all on trade in value.

We waited and had the replacement done. Two years in and not one issue.
