    Sadly It's impossible to switch front ends , the Tacoma has the new impact zone and the 4Runner does not. I have both and I've looked into it seriously I've taken measurements it's just a no go

    Yup. Almost certain I saw this modification (4Runner front-end on 3rd gen Tacoma) done on some Toyota forum.
