2017 SR5 V6. LOVE MY TRUCK! Struggling with the lack of torque at 2100-3100 rpm's. Any suggestions?

At least no one blasted you with the usual "Didn't you drive it before you bought it?" line. ;)

    Right now, basically 2 options...

    1st and cheapest:
2nd and MUCH more costly: Regear.

if you were in a MT truck I'd suggest trying a Pedal Commander. but since you're in an AT truck, i'd recommend a MT truck.

Swap out the 3.4L for a diesel or 5.7L. Seriously, why does Toyota not offer this truck with the 5.7? Plenty of room under the hood.

Same reason they dropped the 4.0 for a 3.5 Atkinson with a shift-tastic transmission.

    Emissions.

You would never have this in a Tundra...I actually keep all the nannies on...and it still hauls ass.

I always felt strange running at high ish rpms. Usually just 2.5 and shift, almost never get to 3k. But my 2.7 finds it's home at 3.

My 2.7 loved 3500 rpm. Woke the truck right up.

Yeah...and the 400lb ft of torque probably helps.... a little;)
