400 in our tiny trucks would be nuts. You'd run out of trail before you get to take full advantage of that lol. Boost would be almost scary at that point

I was also gonna say you'd probably run out of suspension too but I didn't wanna hurt Franks feelings.

400 screaming 'Merican horses would be a blast though.

Also i really need to do my rear brakes haha Won't be around this weekend though..maybe we can try on Monday and tuesday night??? If you and Ty are up for it. Also gonna loose my rear shackles as Zane pointed out mine are too tight.

I'll probably see him tomorrow so I'll see if the garage is freed up. He's wrapping up his rear bumper and should be done this weekend I think.

Morning folks. Just a general question about the great state of Wyoming. Is anyone familiar with the Star Valley area? Reason I’m asking is because I’m scouting for a place to retire and Wyoming is on my short list. Star Valley looks to be a bit removed from the mainstream but all learned so far has come from the internet. Anything that y’all could share would be greatly appreciated.

Only been there once. Its really a valley with i think 4-5 small towns. It is GORGEOUS there.

    Hard HARD winters though.

Wouldn't be a bad place at all to get away from it everything and still be part of several small close communities.

About all i have for ya..sorry.

Piles of them and all the other variants too here at Spaldings in Spokane. Make you a deal, if you buy one from up here I'll personally deliver it for the mere cost of some wheeling in Wyo after school lets out. Although Spaldings prices on Lx engines and actually most chevy engines in general are terrible, so probably not a great deal. Just checked it out and they want in the mid seven thousands for a true USED LS3.

Many thanks. So winters there are rougher than other parts of the state? I liked the proximity to places like Jackson Lake and the Tetons. Seen some great photos posted here from wheeling trips.

I like it. I'll have to look into that. You've got a deal. I'll have to check out that place.

Well im not a fan of Jackson...sorry @Pltmnky....mostly due to the high nature of rich people and tourists. haha

But you'll be right in the middle of some goregous country. Be freaking cold like the rest of the state and a lot of snow.

Pretty much all winters are hard anywhere in Wyo. Last few years have been...well..odd. Last year was chill actually. But if you don't like long winters, may wanna reconsider. We got hit hard with snow in May at elevation which you would pretty much live at. It is super nice there though and the short beautiful mild summers make it all worth it. I think everyone here can vouch for that. We get anywhere from 2-6 months on "summer" and usually 2-4 at the most of mountain summer.

Can be all over the map. Was 50º two days ago here..snowing and freezing everywhere now. Whole lower half of the state highways are damn near shutdown. Then it'll get warm again..then below zero haha

    All worth it.

    Definitely come visit!

Kind of a weird place but the people are friendly enough. Time would be the only messy factor if I was to get it down there, school ends with me being homeless (not really but no longer living in Eastern WA) and I doubt I'd have enough cash on hand for a spring break trip . But it's something we can work out if you find something. I really want to check out Wyo and may end up moving down there come fall for WyoTech. Mid to late summer is always the best for me to do trips because I usually have funds saved up around then, the real trick would be getting Spaldings to hold an engine until August, or just don't start seriously looking until then. I'm the world's worst delivery service, I'll make my slogan "It gets there when I'm not broke and homeless"

Have you nailed down the drivetrain combo you want?

well no matter what you should come down!

WyoTech is a good school. You'd do well there im sure.

I have, going with the L33 5.3L to a 5 speed NV4500(not really picky on which one the "HD" one would be cool because of the super low first gear) into a Dana 20 T case i think as it will be affordable and easy to change gearing and is drive side drop.

We will see what happens with this. Pretty well set on it though.
