    3rd Gen with 255.80.17

Clearance between 2 and 3 gen should be similar. Tire width and diameter is identical except for the larger wheels...16 to 17.

My wheels have 4.5 backspacing....I wouldn't go any wider as I'm very close when stuffing the rears. They clear with no issue...with mudflaps.

Also...a lift should never be your remedy for clearance. It's like a bandaid fix.

Now you can limit up travel if you have to...this can be achieved in a few different ways.

How did you manage to fit them in the front... some told me that I have to have a new UCA and 2.5 inch lift in the front to fit them

Im going to add 2.5 inch eibach springs with 5100s and put new rear shocks, also LR UCA... it's a daily driver so it will probably rarely see dirt I'm not worried about stuffing them

the stock steel wheels are key with these tires. there was a small plastic splash guard on the front of the inner wheel well that had to be removed...2 screws per side. i had my mud flaps on for quite a while but ended up dragging them off.

Well if the wheel is important to you i would get a tire that suits the wheel you want. I chose the tire i wanted. would be cool if you could find a used 1 to test fit or even better someone on here with same tire wheel combo!

Got my Copper ST maxx on last weekend 255/85/16. They are awesome and im glad people in this thread pointed me in that direction. They are under a 3" lift with 887s and 5100's with Dakar in the rear and LR UCA's

    I run anywhere from 34-36.

    When wheeling I'll do 12-15psi.

Love my 255 ST Maxx! Been awesome on winter snow/ice. :)

Yeah left was 3.1 and right was 2.9.
After alignment left was 2.4 and right was 2.1.
I set the UCA to 0 when I put it on, haven't checked what they put it on. Also went through Firestone because they offer unlimited alignments for the life of the truck for double the price of a normal alignment. Seemed like a pretty good deal.

    255/85/16 = 33.1" OD
    265/75/16 = 31.7" OD

Won't fit on stock. 255/85 heavier than 265/75. Wobbly on highway.
