I bought a schumacher 1200sc/a charger. How do I get to the desulphation mode? It say it has in the manual, but doesn't show how to set it. Does it automatically detect it and go into that mode?

Soo it will only detect it if it has to be desulphated? You can't manually set it right? How will it know? I think I should have gotten the ctek7000 instead. Cause you can manually desulphate the battery no matter how bad it is.

Are you sure its not? Have you checked with a MM to see if there is more voltage present with the charger attached vs not attached?

I'm confused. Are you charging an AGM or flooded cell battery.

You won't have good luck (if any) trying to de sulfate an AGM battery.

It say you can desulfate a Agnes battery. But I was charging a lead acid battery. I am talking about 2 things.

It may say that, but its not realistic. De sulfating a battery requires a place for the build upon the plates to be shed too. AGM batteries don't have space in the bottom of the battery for the build up to fall to.

Another reason I don't care for AGM batteries. In my opinion, the only advantage they have they can be mounted in any position and don't leak when they get damaged.
