Hey everyone, new to Tacos, I've had mine for 3 weeks now and 1700km. No complaints thus far.

    Anyway, here is my issue.

When I try and customize a screen by holding down the appropriate button, and clicking "yes" when it asks if I want to customize, it just exits and nothing happens. It makes NO difference whether I click "yes" or "no" at the 'do you want to customize this screen?' prompt.

The weird part is I have already customized it once (I removed the 'distance to empty' from the main screen and just left the speedo). However after this first time of customizing, I can't enter the menu again.

Has anyone else had this problem ??

    Thanks in advance

Check your manual, sounds like you are pushing the Home Screen button.

I was looking through the menus on mine the other week. I found that whichever screen (tire pressure, music, etc.) you "customize" will be the screen that displays after pushing the Home button.

Rummaged through the manual (again) today.. I'm pressing the right button. The "OK" button in the middle of the arrows. Screens will still not customize. I recorded a video that I will upload to youtube.

It sounds like you might be doing it wrong.

It's not a difficult process. If I can build a car I'm pretty sure I can figure it out. Like I said I already did it once.

edit; I do however have a severe dislike of all this new electronic tech, as cool as it is, I'm kind of old school

I may be reading what you are saying wrong, but you don't hold down a button to customize. That is how you assign it as a home screen if you press yes (or nothing happens if you press no).

To customize, you need to go over to settings, then go down a few lines to the second page and select which screen you want to customize.

^^ This is in the settings menu.

So I go to the main screen (or any screen) and hold down the corresponding button:
^^ This then displays. I can select either Yes or No and it does nothing. I know it's selecting Yes or No because the icon highlights slightly for a brief moment before the prompt / pop-up disappears.

Youtube is still 'processing' the video that I uploaded

Yes--that is not the correct way to do it. Don't go to that "programming" screen. That screen is one of two ways to "program" the home button.

You need to go to settings, then press down until you see the 3 or 4 custom screens, then press OK, then change what you want on them.

    Edit:
I'll elaborate, as I was slightly confused by the wording at first as well.

That button its the 'home' button. Pressing it returns to [whatever screen you have it programmed to]. To "customize" or "program" it, you press and hold it on the screen you want assigned to it, and then press 'ok'.

To customize a screen, you go to settings, then go down a page where there are 3-4 custom screen selections. Select one of them and it will display the two categories that are currently set to be displayed. Selecting either category will give you a list of customization options. You can then back out after setting them up and they appear on the 1st page of the menu.

I'm sure you're not the only one. Better to leave it around for others to find if they are searching with similar problems.
Like I said, it confused me at first.. but, being pretty tech savvy, I figured it out. the wording they use is a little odd if you ask me.

it's a bad interface for sure, but reading it carefully it says
"customize <button icon> TO this screen"

...it makes sense, even it is really awkward
