Nice we'll have to go wheeling. @Mothman lives out here too. Come wheel with us sometime.

Are you going to shave your 60 for ground clearance?

Not at this time. The thought of cutting up a brand new housing freaks me out a bit.

So you are gonna roll 38"s on IFS? Man, that's pushing the envelop by quite a big margin.

If I were you, I would bite the bullet and do a SAS. You already built a custom frame for the rear and have a d60 going under there. You are upgrading the brakes too. It is begging for a d60 in the front!

Just :sawzall: the IFS off and put a straight axle under there and be done. Do it right, do it once!

As much as I would love to, and know I'm capable, I refuse to start until I have all the parts. I was recently laid off so dropping 10-15k isn't exactly an option right now.

It's mainly a daily for me with moderate wheeling trips, I really don't think I have to worry about breaking much.

When I do start the front end it will be much simpler to do with all the extra. Crap out of the way.

Famous last words :D [highlighted above]

If you are in a situation in which you cannot pull a SAS off financially that's understandable.

I just think that's way too big and heavy of a tire for IFS, even with moderate wheeling. I would be paranoid all the time! Not to mention the expenses of daily driving with big meats. Even with 35"s stuff starts wearing off fast with the IFS; ball joints, steering rack components, etc. It's really a lot of weight.

Well i guess anything can survive if you drive/wheel carefully.

I do agree with you on that SAS with a one ton is the way to go as I have a d60 going in, in a few weeks as well but I have to point out that the second gen front end can handle a hell of a lot of abuse. A lot of people on here wheel them on 37s all day without an issue. That said, they're not running the hammers either but still

Didn't know there was "a lot" of people with 2nd gens on 37s.

I have seen IFS carnage on 2nd gens with smaller tires than that. But everything is subjective because some people do drive/wheel like maniacs...in which case anything can break with any tire size :D

Got the master and booster hooked up yesterday. Adapter plate and pushrod worked out perfect. All lines up the e brake plumbed and bled.

Just have to seal up the passenger side wheel tub and throw some seam sealer on then it will be back on its wheels again. Hoping to get it started again within the next week or so.

Anybody have a spare nylon fuel supply line that goes to the fuel rail? I mistakenly cut the quick connect fitting off and need that part to connect to my AN fittings.
