    Hello.

I purchased my 2017 OR back in September (built in Texas late august) but I started lurking here a few months before pulling the trigger. No regrets on my purchase yet. My previous car was a 2008 Honda CRV and this is my first truck, so my expectations may be easier to meet than some. The V6 feels like a beast to me compared to the previous sewing machine I was driving.

Besides being my daily driver, the Taco's primary job is weekend trips up north to go snowmobiling, either hauling a two place hybrid trailer (about 2500 pounds fully loaded) or a single sled in an aluminum sled deck in the bed. It's met all expectations so far.

I added the backrack safety rack so I don't put my ski or some firewood through the back window. In full winter mode I have the aluminum sled deck (with 8 foot ramp) in the bed, and the tailgate removed. I added a backup cam to the diamond plate aluminum gate on the back of the sled deck, Sumo springs to firm her ass up a little, and Blizzaks for those nasty rides up North. I think I am leaving the Sumo springs in year round.

When loaded with a sled in the deck I drive with ETC on and in sport 5, just like towing, which is probably overkill. No problems so far. I was worried it would be too tippy with a sled in the deck, but it handles great and is a lot more fun to drive a long trip than a trailer setup.

I need to add some bed lights and maybe a spotlight mounted on the headache rack.

Very cool. So is the single ramp electric or hydrolic? Interested to see how it works.

    Welcome.

Thanks! Sadly it's all a manual affair, but it's not too bad. I can do it all alone and I'm 150 pounds.

Here's a close up of the deck setup from the rear. You can see the ramp sits under the deck inside those big C channels. To the left of the ramp is a brass colored padlock holding it in.

Another shot with the sled deck gate opened. You can see the aluminum framing and the wiring for the backup camera. You can also see the turnbuckles I use on each corner to fasten the deck to the bed.

Here she is with the ramp slide out and attached, ready to load.

Here is a close up of how the ramp connects to the bar on the back of the deck. As you can see, it's not going anywhere.

I almost forgot the first and most important mod I did, dog platform!
