Hey to all I'm new! I have been looking on here for hours and haven't gotten a clear answer. I'm looking for a 15x8 steel wheels that will clear calipers fit studs with no mods or spacers. if you have pics and part#'s would be best. i have 33 12.5 15 tires going on them so 3.75 BS min with some rub but thats not what im worried about. just looking for wheels that bolt up and done.
    thanks.

Yes they will fit fine, the tires will most likely rub though...

with a 15x8 and 3.75'' BS the tire will rub the frame at full steering lock. you'll clear the UCA fine. And yes you will need to trimm and hammer the hell out of the fender well and pinch weld area.

as for wheels that just bolt on..that is harder to anwser. Most wheels out there rub the calipers a bit. Wheelers used to make 15'' steelies that cleared everything. But not anymore. Most D window wheels the D punch outs rub the calipers. Can either run spacers or grind the caliper down. I ground down my calipers.

Why would a 3.75 BS rub the frame when stock rims are 4.6 BS? I was planning on running SCS 16" with a 3.5 BS

backspacing is different for every wheel width. stock is 7.5'' wide. And if you stuffed a 33x12.5 tire on that you will rub on the UCA and the Frame.

A 15x8 is wider so you gain 1/4'' right there. plus a 3.75 vs a 4.5'' is a huge difference.

    If you're running an SCS 16 3.5'' BS you'll be fine with a 285 or even 295.

thanks for the advice might go with 3.5 or 3.25 BS hopefully clear the frame rub. I called pro comp and the require shims or caliper grinding. has anyone tried to cut a larger center out of a Chevy rally so they fit? they are the right bolt pattern but wrong bore diameter.

American Racing used to make 8" steel rims with 3.75 backspacing for Toyotas. I had a set on my 87 4x4 pickup. Bought them at Discount tire in Anaheim. But this was "back then" of course.

I have run both the 8 and 10 inch wide wheel. The 8 had a 3.75bs with no rub on frame. My 10s (4 inch bs) just started rubbing on one side after i installed my uca's....either way, you wont be disappointed. ...bust out the bfh

I think I wasn't super clear but I'm not worried about tire rub it's almost impossible to avoid with that size of tires. the rim fitment around the caliper as I don't want to take a grinder to my calipers and do not like the idea of spacers / shims. I believe it is the dish of the "spokes" on most steel rims that will grind on the calipers.

Not enough to have a build thread.
I really wanted steelies too. Couldn't find any that fit without spacers or grinding the caliper. I settled for alloy but bought the warranty that 4wp offers (they get too damaged to mount a tire on and I get a replacement)

    FJ steelies work.

I'm fairly decent on a tire machine but I don't think my 15's are going to slide on to some 17's haha cool that they work though.

I have 1/4 shims and studs on order. not a big fan but I'm going to try and fit the Chevy rally rims I have lying around. still would buy a wheel that would bolt on direct though.

Oops my bad, I didn't realize you already had the tires. I was just thinking you could put the 17" steelies on and adjust the tire size accordingly.
