Yes 80 miles on a tank that has 330 more to go before empty. Try this: post your mpg on a whole tank of gas after filling up to near empty hand calculated. Its not hard. Then post what the driving conditions were. Thats real world mpg.

That is 241 miles to empty and it was not full when I started this trip. I have to admit that while I used to hand calculate mileage after each fill up I have gotten lazy with this system. I will start to do this again in the future.

If you sort by year, it gives appropriate filters for engine, bodystyle, and sub-model. Most guys who have lifts/ tires quickly stop tracking mileage. I do wish you could select 4x4/4x2 but that info is available when you drill in to individual vehicles. While the site is not perfect, it gives a great standard distribution. When you drill down to individual vehicles you can get data by fillup. Many users include notes that address city vs highway/ tire pressure/ and other info.

I agree a lot of people that greatly modify the trucks do not care about mileage . It would be great info for people trying to decide to do the same if they knew the results of the mods as they apply to driving it everyday. I have used fuelly and you are right some vehicles have more details than others, but from what I saw/see , most do not have many details. It is a good base line .

Most keep it stock. The crowd here cannot be used as a representative sample for that as "we" are enthusiasts.

Reset mine at the pump which includes canning it on the on ramp. Had the truck in S6. 2017 Off-road 4x4 with a bed rack and roof top tent. I usually get 18mpg in D.

I've got 5000 miles on mine, 21.3 mpg average from new. All stock SR AC [2TR-FE 4X4 MT]. I've noticed slightly better mileage (+22) once the engine broke in, though I suppose the extended unseasonably warm weather could be partially responsible...

Side note: Are those of you who run larger tires compensating for your diameters? I saw it mentioned once, but not necessarily considered in any followups (I've only skimmed through; sorry if I missed anyone). The expectation is (obviously) that larger tires will result in a loss of efficiency. However, I've not seen anyone definitively state that they've adjusted their distance, and so I can only assume they haven't. I'd eventually like to step up an inch or two, and I'm just curious about the array and accuracy of the mpg differentials posted here. Thanks in advance to anyone who includes said information with their post.

I've seen people frequently mention they adjust their mpg for different size tires. Probably not everyone but it is known.

In this thread? I've seen several people mention larger tires, though neglect to explain whether they've recalibrated or compensated for those tires. That doesn't mean they have or haven't, they just didn't inform us. I think it would be useful to include that information, especially in this thread about fuel mileage. Hence my note about it.

Idk how you guys get such terrible fuel mileage, 17 DCSB Auto 4x4 got 18.7 (hand calculated) with the new 265/75r16 A/T tires I put on and I was revving the shit out of it messing with my buddy in his new "to him" '15 F250 King Ranch.

Edit. I need to find out what the difference between the 70 and 75 make between speed and mileage.

What would be the mpg conscious PSI for the 17" wheels on 265/70 kO2 tires?

I'm running the stock 16" Goodyears at 30 PSI and have plateaued at 18 mpg. If I can stay close to this on the new tire and wheel setup I'd be happy.

    Long term fuel economy report.

My 2016 TRD Off Road Double Cab 4x4 just turned over 36,282 miles. I've filled up 126 times, purchasing a total of 1815 gallons for an average fuel economy of 19.99 mpg.

My driving is mostly highway, a lot of it on Texas interstates running about 78-79 mph. My driving is done mostly at low elevations...from sea level up to about 200 feet.

And for what it's worth, I buy the cheapest unleaded regular gas I can find. My average price per gallon over these 126 fillups was $1.969 for an average cost of 9.7 cents per mile. I paid a low of $1.599/gallon (Dallas, Feb. 2016) and a high of $2.499/gallon (small town northern Arkansas, June 2016).

My best tank averages have been driving some 2 lane backroads at 55-60 mph, averaging just under 22 mpg.

My worst fuel economy was just over 12 mpg, pulling a tandem trailer with a John Deere 1025r tractor at interstate speeds in the east Texas hills.
