So to start, I installed a toytec 3" spacer lift with 2" AAL's and put on the FJ TRD 16" Wheels with 32" GY Duratracs. My problem is that there is vibrating in the steering wheel and through the gas pedal at certain speed. It's worst at around 45 to 55 MPH and up from there is constant but not as bad. My first guess was that the wheels were balanced wrong. I rotated them to see if it changed, it didnt. So I took them to a tire guy and had him rebalance them. Didn't change. My alignment IS off but only by a little, and I found that my passenger side tie rods are rust-welded and cant be moved. So I've ordered new inner/outer to replace. I'm pretty sure that wouldnt cause these vibrations but I'm less sure about it because I've never dealt with this issue before where it wasnt incorrectly balanced wheels. Anyone have any insight as to what this problem could be? Is it my lift?

That wouldn't cause vibrations in his steering wheel.

Are you running non hubcentric wheel spacers? If so, are the rims perfectly centered around the hub?

Do you also feel vibrations in your seat?

Do you have a seized caliper?

How old are the tires? There should be a number on the sidewall something like "1216" and that means the tire was manufactured the 12th week of 2016. If your tires are brand new but old, they may have sat and got out of round!

Are your rims used? Maybe they're out of round.

I would get your truck aligned and see if it changes anything before I dug any deeper.

FYI a little heat fixes rusty jam nuts ;)

Do you have wheel spacers? i was having pretty much the same symptoms around the same speeds. after a few rebalances and adding longer wheel studs so my spacers would fit more snug the dealership concluded that the spacers where not centering to the wheel hub. took the spacers off and no more vibrations.

Not to be a plunger and bring up old shit, but it was the stock UCA's not allowing proper alignment. I upgraded with TC uppers and it went away.
