    Usually not.

You'll most likely be spewing blinding light in every direction. Im basing this on personal experience.

That's pretty excessive lighting. Would hate to be driving in front of that haha.

Not excessive. Just optics done wrong so beam control and cuttoffs are lost. Not only does this blind other drivers, but also fails to put light on the road and results in lower performance.

they are not much different than the ones already in it. I did change the ones on the inside the one on the left is the led one.

I don't see much of a problem if you put em on your fog lights because essentially you are running flood light anyways so the "cut off" is non existing anyways. I would personally run amber or yellow on your fog lights as it cuts through actual fog and hard to see climate much better than LEDs would. :hattip:

The fog lights do have a cut off, otherwise you would blind everyone with them on and get light reflected back at you in poor weather. Here you can see a photo of my fog cut offs with headlights disabled, 100% brighter on left, stock on right.

If switching to LED fogs you need an LED compatible lens and housing to maintain the cutoffs, like the Morimotos.

You're comparing apples to cactus there.

The LED replacements for the interior dome/map lights are made to spill light all over the place so you can see inside the expanse of your cab. The reflectors in those are no where nearly as highly engineered as your fog lights which are supposed to be DOT approved (for many different reasons).

Everyone else here have done a good job explaining why simply "switching the bulbs" in fog lights is a non-trivial modification when going from halogens to LEDs.
So your comparison falls short beyond the fact that the replacements use LEDs, sorry...

The look you achieve may be something that makes you happy but it's likely not going to work for the actual function those fog lights are supposed to serve.

Yeah, I think the wording is simply different. I see where you are coming from but How I see it on your picture that is the basic fog light beam pattern where when I refer to the cut offs, Im talking about actual cut offs from projectors with an actual plating for the output. I see a lot of people retrofit fogs with projectors to actually get a cut off out of them which can be aimed and potentially to oncoming traffic.

Traditional (non-projector) "fog" lights do not have a "cutoff." What they do have is a flat horizontal beam pattern achieved through a reflector and / or lens flute combination to focus the beam. The effect when aimed at a flat vertical surface is quite similar though.

What most aftermarket LED bulbs do is move the illumination source away from where it was designed to be in the factory fog light housings. They also spill excess light out in random directions causing excessive glare for oncoming motorists. This is a perfect example of "more light" is not always the same as "more light in the right places."
