Two questions regarding TPMS on 3rd Gens

    I like the idea of having 2 sets... just can't handle the look of the stock set.:D

    I did that and also called Toyota to confirm and the Tacoma and the 4Runner use different sensors and have different part numbers. However they both share the same frequency of 315hz and some say it will work but nobody could tell me for sure.

    My plan is to remove my TPMS sensors out of my factory steel wheels , and mount them in the spare tire so it will be useable. Put regular valve stems in my new wheels. I'm going to do this to my 4Runner also and then I can switch between , wheels, vehicles like the old days no problem. I always keep a check on my tire pressure anyway, this will monitor my spare and I don't have to mess with the electrical in the truck. If I decide to sell , just remove the sensors from the spare reinstall in the factory wheels done. All at minimal cost no reprogramming no new sensors
