Well holy kick in the dick.......! Been working for days on this. Dropped and swapped front diff, relocated front limit straps, finally put my King 2" bumps in that I've had for like 2 years......lol. Also took apart my shocks almost completely and redid the resi out puts. Now they sit 90° down. Collars all the way up now so we'll see where she sits after they settle a bit. More pics to come......

At least I know how to do this now. Completely broke down shock bodies minus the shim stack. Now I'll know what to do if or when I put triple bypass up front. Resis clocked at 6 90° down now. Clears collars.

How do your uniballs look after the snow/salt? Do you wash them out regularly?

Swapped out my front diff from one from ECGS. 4.88s and an ARB. Took a little work but got'er done on my own. Putting the diff back up in location wasn't too bad using the floor jack. Plummed it and now I'm l9cked front and rear.....

Blackdawg they were only half that amount. I screwed them down at one point when I was working on the plumbing. Still after I put them on I can tell it's settled to where it should be. Once I dropped her to the ground I could tell almost right away it's lower. Amazing what a half inch of preload does. Looks like my camber is setting better too. Should ride way better like you said. JBerry had 18s too but I think he was heavier up front. Different kit too. I really think I'm where I need to be now.

Uniballs hold up well. I've put a lot of copper antiseize on everything that moves. Most of its still there after a year. It's good to put that stuff on once a year. There no corrosion on anything. I use Corrosion X on stuff too like my shocks everytime I wash it just spray various stuff with it.

Looking sexy as f....... Next stop will be triple bypass secondaries and re shimming the coilovers. Might be a few months before that happens.

Careful with those cvs locked on 35's. Cv's fail at high turn angles so if you're going to dump some power on them try to have your wheels as straight as possible

I'm on my 6th one.....lol. Good thing for lifetime Napa but theyve been catching on to me. Always the right side cage broke. But i think its been because of my ride height. I've stopped boost launching in 4wd. But now my angles should be better I might hit it again and cross my fingers.

Oh damn 5 already?! Yeah that high stance probably wasn't helping much and also the front end is going to come up as you accelerate so the cv angle will be even steeper but to think you've been shredding them driving straight is bonkers. That's some serious torque! Better a cheap cv than a differential though.

Yeah I've learned to swap one out in an hour and that includes putting on an inner LT boot. With my front end settled down a bit I may take a chance and try it again.....

Anybody have advice on this. I put my ARB 4.88 front in. The 4x4 engages and drives straight fine. But when I go to turn the steering completely locks up. It's like something is binding inside the diff. It behaves so weird. If I reverse sometimes the wheel will turn right or left but it's as if the steering locks. Going straight is fine. Only turning. And 2wd works fine which tells me the cvs and systems work good up until 4wd is engaged. Anybody with knowledge as to what's going on?

Sounds like the locker is engaged.

Im going to put it up on jacket stands tonight and maybe I can get more feedback to you guys to work with. The 4 hi works fine straight. 4 lo straight is fine. 2wd works turning and everything. Only when I turn in 4wd does it lock up the rack and steering......

Also it seemed when I engaged the 4wd and arbs.....then took it out of 4wd, it still stayed in 4wd and worked until I shut off the arbs. When I shut off the arbs is when it went back to 2wd even though the t case was already in 2wd......

If you're locker is engaged you're going to have issues turning. The reason ARB's are so sough after in the front is because they can quickly engage and disengage so you can turn them on, on the fly, as needed. Ideally though, you don't want it to be engaged much of the time due to the steering restrictions and added load on the front drive train.

If the locker is engaged even if you're not in 4wd you still have no differential in the front axle so you will see similar a binding through the drive line.

I literally can't steer. I understand a little binding but with this the truck is almost not drive able. It would be insanely unsafe on a trail. I lose my steering almost completely from this.
