For turbo questions, Customtacos.com is a better forum. The 3RZ isn't as easy as the 2RZ but still an easy engine to turbo. Kits are available for prices comparable to S/C'ers. The 3RZ 2.7L has a longer stroke than the 2RZ 2.4L so the con rods aren't as stout but generally speaking, replace your head studs with ARP and get a composite head gasket while you're at it and the engine should be good for up to 300-400hp. 400 is pushing it but with a good tune, it should be safe.

For the trans, a shift kit is a good start. Otherwise, you would have to rebuild with new performance internal clutches.
