Ok, if 48 doesn't do it, then 88. Just as long as Keslowski, Logano, or the Bush brothers don't do it, I'm fine...

Hello everybody I hope you all had a good Saturday! Well I took my little white trooper on it's maiden off road voyage today. It wasn't anything fancy just some fire roads in the mountains. Some of it was maintained for the trout fishermen but the majority was rough as hell and we strayed onto a harder section for quite a while. It started dry and dusty then we got hammered with rain and hail which turned everything pretty slick and water everywhere.

    and now clean again

little truck performed like a tank 4cyl had more than enough power

It was and can't wait to do it again. Found the trails only a half hour or so from the house and free. We didn't hit any of the harder stuff. I was really impressed with how well the 4cyl worked.

4 cylinders are more than capable. I remember the days of my dad's Datsun pick ups. He had a few 520's and a couple 620's, even a Ford Courier. Street tires on the front and mud tires on the back. All but the Courier had glass packs on them. We went all over cutting fireword, hunting and camping. Very capable.

It's like a little tractor engine it may not burn up the highway but off road it just chugs rt along effortlessly

Hope they can get some before tomorrow. I love a Sunday afternoon race nap.

A styrofoam plant up the road from me burned one Saturday. We got an early morning knock on the door telling us we had to evacuate. It was a mess.

    They're stout little motors.

the header really made a great difference. In 4low it feels like it'd climb a tree. The only hendrence was the open/open differentials and only felt that when I tried to climb that rock.

That looks like exactly what I am seeking, thank you. Thought it was Sunday today for some reason, too much snow. Headed to HD tomorrow they have 4 in stock. Have a feeling it is coming home with me.

Back when I started with cordless I went with Bosch because I was happy with my T4000 table saw and plunge router. They kind of set the standard at the time for those tools. Cost a lot in batteries over time, wasn't the best by far but not sure any of them were. About a year ago when the last battery died did some research and of all things ended up with the Home Depot Rigid Gen5X kit. They really got it right with the 5th gen. The finally deciding factor was lifetime warranty including batteries. Happy so far and the next thing I will add is the LED light panel and stand. Was surprised how many professional contractors and users have moved to them, that was also another deciding factor.

That's why I don't let anyone borrow anything. Coworker let another coworker borrow his boat.
    Wasn't good.

Chris a little trick I learned with open diffs and will make it feel like a locked rear . pull the e brake out maybe 1/2 from full engagement . this will allow equal drag on both wheels and allowing the open diff to transfer power to both wheels

Also ever thought of putting a Marlin Crawler box in your truck ?? . Basically two t/cases bolted together with one case geared at 4.70:1 and the other is stock gearing . this will give you a crawl ratio of near 500:1 low range
