Muffler Delete - An exhaust option that doesn't sound bad!

So this is my first japanese vehicle, and although I like it one thing the asian automakers tend to lack relative to the european and americans is that visceral driving experience. A lot of this is in the sound of a vehicle. Our trucks sound like a weedwacker. Found this on youtube today, I'm not sure how it will sound in the interior with our piss poor soundproofing. Anyone tried this?

dont do it. Buy a cat back system.

 

All the cats sound brutal. MBRP, Flowmaster, Magnaflow - what is your concern with the muffler delete? Genuine question.

 

Sounds stupid, its a midsize truck, leave it alone.

 

It'll sound like a raspy, worn out piece of shit instead of anything that you think it'll sound like.

 

Under load that will sound like a 1000 beehives getting shoved up a bears ass.

 

Take off a 15lb muffler for more annoying ricer sounds and you'll gain the added benefit of more Taco lean too!

It will sound crappy. Its a nice truck, removing the muffler is like rice.

 

Take off muffler and add a glass pack to it.

 

The cacophony of a thousand beehives combined with the indignant roar of a violated bear? Imagine living in a quiet hamlet, children playing in their yards, an elderly couple walking hand-in-hand down the sidewalk, birds merrily chirping....and then a truck, sounding like a bear raped by beehives, screaming around the corner. I call that Wonderful!

why are any (and all) of you guys trying to talk sense to this? let the guy try it for himself. it's the only way to learn.
