Ok i have got this truck from my grandad recently after he passed. I don't know what kind of radio this is. The mic is not talking very loud. I have tried plugging my cobra 4 pin in and it's like it's backfeeding like maybe the mic is wired differently. So my question is does anyone know what radio this is? Tryin to not have to take radio out if possible.

More pictures of the top and rear would help. Looks like an old sears/Shakespeare/Radio shack CB. Not sure what you mean by the mic is not very loud. Is that on the receive end or is it coming from the speaker? If it's coming from the speaker then you have a "talk back feature wired in it. That may be where the feedback is coming from, if I understand you correctly

I think i may have figured out the brand. I think it's about late 70s model midland. And i mean that i can hear good on it but I'm not talking very loud. Had my buddy over last night and he had to have his volume way up in order to hear me. And the radio in my cummins would Blow him away if he didn't turn his volume back down.

Being that old, it might only have 19 channels. If so, I wouldn't bother with it.
    New Unidens are under $100.

It is a 40 channel. It's my Grandaddy's old radio that he custom made his own bracket and put in it. So it's got some sentimental value to me. Would like to get it talkin good again if i can but my cobra mic out of my cummins that talks good won't work at all with the midland and they are both 4 pin.

Check local truck stops. Many have CB repair places in them. It will probably cost you more to restore it than to get another one, but you really want to do it, let a pro look at it.
