Dimmer or same or a little better than stock halogen?

Ever try the Sylvania bulbs shown above?

A little better than stock. I do like Sylvania products but not a fan of viewing the exposed LED thru the lens.

Yeah, also those Sylv's don't look like the reflect the light in the correct direction...interesting how the philips fires towards the reflector, Sylvania fires out towards the world.

For you that what another reverse light tap. I do believe the center post of the round trailer plug works in reverse. I used it put a reverse light on my duck boat trailer. I'm thinking that even if you don't have a towing package that harness the main harness for is still run back there.

Which wire is the relay wire that needs to be tapped? Pictures? Color of wire?

    Mostly stuff I built.
Has anyone cut their tail light housings and put cubes in the reverse light reflector location yet?

Its been a while and i cant remember. If i were to do it again, id not run the relay at all and just tap into the trailer lights. You should only be pulling 36 watts with the pair that i got which should still leave plenty for your trailer.

LEDs draw less power than halogen.

These are a set of cheapies from Amazon.

I mounted them using existing bolts from the bumper and tapped into my trailer harness via Posi-Tap connectors for a signal and grounded using a nut/bolt/washer on an existing hole in the bumper. They are nice and bright, but do not interfere with the camera.

The only downfall is that the winter has definitely let water into them, so the chrome reflector looks a little worse for wear on the passenger side. They do still work properly, however. I can also remove these without any issues with the truck. All my connections were done using quality connectors and self-sealing tape. I could remove the connectors, seal up the needle points on the wire for the trailer harness and be good to go.
