You need to get lug centric ones like these: or these:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-TOYOTA-WH...USA-/162129715624?vxp=mtr&hash=item25bfaf21a8

I just bought 2 of each and they look identical so it's up to you how much you want to pay. I did also buy some extended thread lug nuts from all pro in my order for the front wheels.

Disclaimer: I haven't put them on my manual hubs yet. I can't say for certain that they will fit, but I'm pretty sure they will, that's why I bought them vs. hub centric ones.

    aren't all spacers "lug centric"?

vs. hub-centric that would have a hub adapter for the wheel to sit on that would interfere with the manual hub's OD. There are ways to mod such spacer / adapters, but you'll need a good router and a good amount of patience in marking out the locations to route out and some trial and error.

Toyota uses a lug/ hub centric style combo setup, so the wheel secures to the hub first and the lugs provide the extra security.

I'm not sure what kind of driving you do, but I would indefinitely shoot for Bora wheel spacers. Quality built items that can withstand serious abuse.

They won't fit over the manual hubs w/o significant modification.

Well, that's definitely too bad for the OP then. Good info for those who are inquiring about the same thing.

For anyone thinking that hub centric wheel spacers hold a wheel to the hub any better than a lug centric one:

    • "The hub center of a hubcentric spacer does not hold the spacer on the hub or reduce the chance of stud failure. There is never any load on the lip of the wheel spacer. For there to be a load on the lip, the friction force in the joint must have been completely overcome. The lip on a hubcentric wheel spacer serves only as an aid for wheel installation."

    http://www.maximummotorsports.com/tech_wheels_spacers.aspx

Follow the star pattern in tightening tapered conical lug nuts and the wheels should sit centered on the hubs w/o vibrations.

thats good info. il bookmark it the next time someone asks. looking at it 1.5" spacers would probably clear without modification.

Since we are on the subject. Those of you running wheel spacers, did you use loctite? If so what color? Red seems like overkill but ya really don't want them to come apart going down the road.

From a conversation with the owner of BORA

    Me:

    "Hello,

I purchased some BORA spacers for my 2008 6 lug Tacoma from someone on Tacomaworld.com. I bought some red loctite and I was wondering what some installation tips might be."

    Lenny:

    "Tony

We really don't recommend using loctite, no need

I know that a lot of guys do use it, but as long as you torque the open end lug nuts to the proper foot lbs, they won't back off or come loose.

    Lenny

    Me:

    "Lenny,

Thank you. I have a torque wrench ready to go. Does this mean that I don't have to check the torque on the open ended lug nuts after 5 miles, 50, or 100 miles? Thank you for the info. I'll be putting them on this week. Take care."

    Lenny:

"You should recheck the torque after the first 5 miles to make sure everything was mounted correctly."

So no loctite and torqued to 70 ft*lbs which was his spec for my 1.25" spacers. No loosening occurred over two years, torques checked every tire rotation with no signs of budging whatsoever. My experience.

In the past I was always told to use loctite for added security. More recently I've keep hearing to not use loctite on a spacer is because you need to re-torque them. If they tighten further when re-torquing the loctite becomes useless or It can keep you from fully tightening things during re-torquing. I'd guess if properly torqued in the first place loctite will definitely help keep things from coming loose... I will probably not use any loctite and just check them often.

I've got a set of 1.5" BORA spacers that were recently removed from my truck if you want to give it a go.

    Message me if you're interested.
