    Did you get the same amount of pre ignition the entire time you had the old motor charged? As the injectors get dirty with use, the spray patterns are greatly affected by carbon build up. Maybe the larger injectors combined with the lower mileage clean injectors provide more efficient fueling. Also changing out the knock sensors at the same time may allow your Ecu to retard timing under boost more accurately. I don't really know. I just throwing some guesses out there

    The pinging has always been the same, but you know the knock sensors may have something to do with it, not sure

    Yup, I think he used the old clips off the old injectors for the new injectors if I remember

    A lot of guys that boost their 5vz swap out the knock sensors to the GM SU1075. They are supposed to prevent the ecu from retarding the timing too much helping your motor make more power throughout the power band. I think Brice did it on his turbo V6

    Well maybe it's a combo of 2004 injectors that are larger and new DESNO knock sensors that did the trick

    Just like you were saying, had to swap all my old accessories into the new motor for it to work. But just did a 8 day camping trip in the bush and put around 2000km and it seems to be running good!
