The only thing that sounds right to me is always going to be a V8. I threw a wonderful SLP system on my LS1 Camaro and it's like a symphony.

On the other hand my Tacoma still sounds half decent with the Magnaflow Cat-back I put on it (#19291). It was the only thing I found that sounded ok on a NA 3.5L Toyota V6. It's a deeper tone than stock and doesn't sound like a bunch of bees or a weed eater. At least under actual load. It kinda does in park in the higher rpm range but that's not the same as when under load where it sounds alright.

But muffler delete, uh no thanks. But that's just my opinion. Also might check local laws on the matter. I'm just skirting by with a bullet muffler on my Camaro but local law requires a muffler of some sort.

Vid is very bro sounding... actually it's on the verge of Bro-dozery... but interesting. I bet it gets old fast.

You've heard the Magnaflow (I have one) in person and that you think sounds brutal... wonder why sooooo many trucks (not just Tacos) run them.

It's a TUNED exhaust... the term TUNED means the sound resonates and a particular frequency unlike what was on the AFTER portion of the vid you posted.

Have not heard them in person, would like to but unfortunately just don't know anyone / not being run around here

I'm here. If I don't have anything constructive to add what's the point? Just gathering opinions. So far the only person to add a constructive point was the guy who said that you would lose torque. Honestly didn't think of the loss of back pressure on an NA system being an issue but I can see it, this is enough to prevent me from considering it as I'll take any torque I can get.

    Very nice setup!

I just cut the muffler off my otherwise stock '07 Z, sounded amazing, especially from 3k-4.5k rpm it had that howling resonance... I miss that car :)

Not me or my car, but the same setup/similar sound. I definitely would not mind if I cut the muffler off my tacoma and it sounded like this ;)

I had an S4 with an AWE exhaust that sounded absolutely f*cking glorious. Once it got north of 4500 RPM it would howl like an exotic - i absolutely loved that car. Once I took off the exhaust it was completely soulless.

Also its a cold-start. Who knows what it sounds like under regular driving conditions and at operator temperature

Sounds like some 15 year old honda POS with a $10 fart can from pep boys. Only way to complete the ensemble is to buy a body kit and install it unpainted. Oh, and install the spare wheel on one of the corners.

Shouldn't really affect MPG or performance. Won't have an effect on back-pressure but may affect scavenging.

Do you keep your window open at a stop light? How is it possible that these dangerous exhaust fumes make their way into the cabin? The joint for the muffler is behind the cabin under the bed anyways.

Ever open your sliding back window? Fumes can come through there pretty easily................this is a bad idea all around as we have all said but you seem pretty hell bent on doing this so go for it but don't say we didn't warn you when you go back to stock or just buck up and buy a whole exhaust system.
